Leadership 4.0 for Executives, Teams and Individuals
Executive Development
Our goal at Perkins Williamson Associates (PWA) is to accurately diagnose the development needs of senior executives and address those needs using a successful executive coaching experience, which results in career advancement. Our process helps individuals map out potential career opportunities and prepare for each phase of transition. We have a wealth of experience working with and coaching senior executives in Fortune 500 companies representing a range of industries around the world. PWA has adapted its executive coaching process to ensure critical Leadership 4.0 components are successfully incorporated for success in the digital-technical workplace.
Philosophical Approach
We use a fact-based, data-driven approach to the executive coaching process. That means we gather information from a variety of sources and through a variety of methodologies. The more broad-based and up-to-date the data, the more accurate the diagnosis and assessment we can provide. However, the data collection processes—as well as the coaching sessions themselves—are completely customized to accommodate the needs and circumstances of each participant.
Maintaining strict confidentiality is extremely important in building and maintaining the coaching relationship.
Therefore, we contract with each participant as to what data is shared, with whom, and under what circumstances.

Team Development
We think of a team as a group of two or more individuals with common goals and interdependence. The parties are trying to achieve the same objectives and must depend on one another in order to do so. Team Development is an opportunity to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and cohesiveness of any group of people.
Team Development comes in many forms because there are so many outcomes which are achievable when it is effectively implemented. It is particularly useful for providing clarity, understanding, and better alignment. It enhances problem solving and conflict management. We also make use of Team Development to resolve interpersonal issues between team members.
Our Team Development interventions are completely customized to meet your specific needs and desired outcomes. The experience generally involves pre-work and data collection to better understand the issues. The actual Team Building session may take place in various venues, over a range of time, and incorporate myriad exercises. We may schedule the intervention from half a day to several days.
Generally, Team Development sessions we conduct fall into one of four categories:
Role Negotiation clarifies the roles, responsibilities, and relationships of team members. This type of Team Building is especially effective when there is new leadership in a unit or department, a new team member who changes the dynamics of the group, a change in direction or approach in the business and team members must play different roles, overlap or disagreement about who does what, or a need to improve how well the team operates.
Conflict Resolution identifies and addresses points of disagreement or miscommunication within the team. Team Building provides an effective forum for identifying and understanding the causes of disagreement, conflict, miscommunication and/or other factors that ultimately inhibit the team working at its maximum potential. Many individuals are uncomfortable with confrontation. Team Building enhances conflict resolution by providing a comfortable, safe environment for team members.
Business Planning increases the productivity of goal-setting meetings and preparing for the future. In these sessions, the group works to address more strategic– rather than day-to-day– issues confronting the team. Through a facilitated session, goals and objectives are set with specific action plans to enhance effective implementation.
Meeting Facilitation helps ensure team discussions fully address agenda and meet established objectives.
